ELEPHANTS DAY IN SURIN

Each year in Surin province, elephants from all over Thailand meet for a full day of fun. The elephants play a game of soccer with each other, have races, compete in a tug of war against Army soldiers pulling on a rope and show feats of strength pulling logs. People can also enjoy the unique pleasure of feeding sugar cane to the elephants and riding on them in a basket.
