I thought life's course would no longer run
As my heart was faintly beating
No more would I see the bright light of the sun
All glimmering hope of life slowly fading.
My will was resigned to the next life begun
And with this chapter of existence closing
Had lost the desire to continue hanging on
To a fleeting hope of life's joy continuing.
At the moment my hands grip was being broken
I felt the embrace of angel wings enfolding
Keeping me from death's blow being stricken
Stopping my life's chapter from ending.
In my journey through life a new course has begun
The candle of hope is now brightly shining
The fabric of life carefully woven, each thread finely spun
Warm clothes made now with love's knitting.
